John Oldrid (3rd) 1860 - 1901
In 1804 John Oldrid (1st) with his partner, Richard Hyde established himself in the business of: "Draper Mercer Hosier and Haberdasher," - offering the added service of: "Funerals completely serviced." All from a small store in Strait Bargate, Boston, Lincolnshire.

Founded in the town linked with those advocates of freedom - the Pilgrim Fathers, owned by a family whose Unitarian faith and Quaker schooling promotes fairness and a social conscience, and trading for over 200 years in the honest market towns of rural Lincolnshire, we have proved that success in business does not have to be at the expense of our own morals and values.
