Our Returns Policy

Although we hope that you are delighted with every purchase from us we do understand that sometimes
things need to be returned.

So long as there is a genuine reason for returning goods, they are returned within 28 days of the purchase date in their original unused or unworn condition, with a receipt and they are a current stock line, unless a replacement is preferred we will offer a full refund.

If the goods are returned between 28 days and 12 months of the original purchase date, with the receipt or proof of purchase, we will refund the current marked price.

As a general rule, we will refund goods by the same method that they were paid for i.e. Cash Refund, if they were paid for by cash, gift voucher or cheque (if over 10 days, otherwise if less, we will credit the amount when cleared). Credit Refunds, if they were paid for by credit card or company charge card.

We do not as a matter of policy offer Gift Vouchers in exchange, unless they are specifically asked for.

Faulty goods will be refunded, repaired or replaced (in line with the manufacturers warranty) as required, regardless of being a current stock line or not.

Refunds on 'Special Order' items, which are not carried as normal stock lines, are at our discretion.

Exceptions - We do not Refund or Exchange on:
• Eveningwear
• Jewellery
• Hats

Goods which are batch produced to a dye-lot (e.g. Knitting Wools, Wallpaper) will only be exchanged or credited to the terms applicable to the individual department.

The above does not affect your statutory rights.

Associated Independent Stores (AIS)

Oldrid & Co Ltd is a member of AIS who is the largest independent, voluntary, non-food, buying group of its kind in the UK with a combined membership turnover of circa £1.6 billion. The group embodies 275 independent department store and specialist retailers, representing 602 outlets across the UK, Ireland and Cyprus.

The sole aim of AIS is to increase member profitability. The group achieves this through its buying strength and its negotiating power across a wide range of furniture, floorcoverings, homewares and fashion merchandise.

AIS is not just a buying group. As well as access to major brands in all categories of the merchandise mix, the group's in-house team of experienced selectors has developed exclusive, own-label products. Key services such as marketing; central payment facilities (CENPAC); a comprehensive buying division (Central Buying Services); statistical information and training to name a few, are available to all members.

Although AIS exists to improve its members profitability the Association itself is non-profit making. It was formed over 25 years ago in 1976 by the merger of two separate buying groups, ADS (Associated Department Stores) and ISA (Independent Stores Association). The Furniture buying group, Floreat, merged with AIS in 1987.

AIS has established its authority in the market place and the group's ongoing strategy for growth ensures that AIS will maintain its stature as leader in its field.

Today, AIS headquarters are at Shirley, Solihull, near Birmingham in the West Midlands. Birmingham International Airport is a ten minute drive away and with excellent road and rail connections, AIS headquarters are easily accessed.
