"Really solid and easy to build bird feeding station. Good quality, heavy duty item which looks as though it will last a good long time and makes it worth the extra money. I've had two stations in the last few years which have not lasted as well as I hoped, so here's hoping! I chose not to add the water feeder as the birds just drop seeds and all sorts into it but I have other water plates /dishes around the garden so don't need it. The seed tray is a great size, accessible from all around the feeder which I like. I'm hoping that the 'screw in' poles will make removing and cleaning the seed tray easy. I've greased the threads to hopefully keep them free moving. Time will tell, but so far it looks good and as though it will last. "

My current poles (I have 4) just stick in the round and we often have to reposition them after a pigeon has landed on top and caused it to lean over! This has a fixing that will keep it sturdy in the ground, is a lovely colour, it has five feeding hangers so will take up less garden space, a water bowl and basket, looks very stylish and looks like it will last for years. The Rolls Royce of garden feeders! I would attach a photo but my hubby is planning to dig a 700mm circle out, embed the feeder pole then fill it with coloured stones to catch the seeds that drop, so this is an ongoing project yet to be completed. "Very strong pole, care must be taken screwing the fine-threaded sections together but once they are and the ground spike is hammered in as per instructions using the included protective cap, the result is a good stable system to add your own feeders. "A very well made and sturdy product. Very easy to put together and the spiked pole that you hammer into the ground ensures the whole structure remains solid. It also looks very attractive in a copper finish. It comes with a water bowl and large feed bowl but I decided not to attach these as I didn’t want large birds and squirrels to have access to the bird food. The pigeons hoover up the dropped seed from the feeders that drops to the grass which is fine and so far no squirrels! The station does not come with any seed feeders which some other bird stations do, but I wanted to use the feeders I already have so this didn’t concern me. I’m thrilled with my purchase!"

"This is easily the sturdiest feeding station I have ever encountered in my 3 decades of birding. The pole is very thick and sturdy. It comes with a hammering cap to allow you to drive the pole into the ground. The fins on the ground pole are welded well and help create a very stable pole that is unlikely to move in the wind. It does take a little perseverance to get the very fine threads to bite when screwing the pole together. However, due to a strange design decision of providing a bird bath that can only be removed by taking apart the pole, which makes cleaning it a real pain, it looses a star. I didn't deduct a star for this, but the fact that Tom Chambers don't sell pole extenders, is exceptionally annoying. As they claim to be providing "Handcrafted quality since 1967" I thought they would sell these, but on conversing directly with them, it turns out they import these ready packaged and thus don't and can't provide a height extension pole. So to sum up a top notch feeding station, but is absolutely let down by the above."

"The Bird Station was delivered rattling about in its box, and when the box was opened, rust was visible on the upper section at a join and along one of the feeder arms. The bird station comes as self assembly wrapped in plastic within the cardboard box, the plastic covering my bird station wasn’t sealed and the metal parts slipped/fell out as soon as I carefully tried lifting, then sliding it out of the box with the box on its side. The bird station needs to be packaged more securely and might explain why mine arrived rusty. I attempted to see if I could clean and remove the rust using some WD40 without success, I hope the damage is not too severe. Assembling the bird station, you have to screw the poles together, I applied WD40 liberally over the threads and found one pole ever so slightly dented at the thread end making attaching the poles difficult. After careful persistence I managed to attach them without damaging the threads. The bird station has 5 x hooks to hang your feeders and includes a water and a seed tray. A comprehensive bird station enabling a variety of seed/suet/feeders to be attached to attract lots of different birds which at this time is good for you and the wildlife. I have considered the quality of the bird feeder, it’s packaging, the condition it arrived in and the price I paid and feel I can only give 3 stars with an overall 4 stars. And time will tell if the rust has caused more damage than is apparent. "

"Good, solid construction and very nice looking. Room for 7 hanging feeders as well as a water bowl and an open seed feeder (the blackbirds in particular seem to like this). Of specific note in my garden is that the squirrels don't appear to be able to climb the pole, so as long as it is positioned out of jumping distance from trees/bushes it should be squirrel proof. The only small negative is that it doesn't come with any hanging feeders or food - you need to source these separately. This makes it a bit more expensive than another make I was considering but in the end I plumped for this one because it looked good. A couple of tips when putting it together: 1/ the rubber bung supplied to protect the top of the pole whilst hammering it into the ground doesn't actually fit the pole, rendering it useless. I used a piece of wood laid across the top of the pole and hammered onto that instead; 2/ I greased the threads before I screwed the sections of the pole together to prevent rust and make it easier to unscrew if ever the need arises (e.g. to remove the open seed feeder or the water bowl)."

"Smart addition to our garden, solid and attractive. Easy to drive base into our ground, be careful to check with spirit level often during process. Stable once in. Instructions are of the minimal type. The screw on the top section had been welded in place by the paint coating, preventing the unit from being assembled. It was forcefully removed with a mole wrench, and replaced with something similar. Minor rust areas appearing near screws, nothing major yet. Plastic water bowl probably won't last, not a deal-breaker. On balance a good purchase."

"This bird station didn’t have a lot of instructions and we didn’t know how far into the ground the spike had to go but other customers told us and the rest of the bird station was very easy to assemble.this problem is a lovely bronze colour and many hooks for hanging feeders and the birds love to feed.highly recommend this product.very sturdy and stable."
