Job Title: Full-Time IT Support Assistant Downtown Grantham

Reporting to the Head of IT/Projects, you will assist with the installation, programming and maintenance of all IT-related equipment, including hardware, software, networks and peripherals. You will also provide support via the IT Helpdesk, requiring you to evaluate situations quickly and effectively.
It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of: -
- Applications Support - MS Exchange 2010
- MS Office (All Versions) - Active Directory
- Systems Support - Networks LAN/WAN
- Server 2003/2008/2012 - Windows XP, 7 & 8
A good working knowledge or experience in MacAfee EPO, VMWare, Cisco and SQL, as well as a full driving licence, would be beneficial, but not essential.
The role will entail first-line support providing evaluation and solutions to issues that arise on a daily basis. Duties will be varied and may include working ‘hands-on’ setting up PC’s for new users, addressing software issues across multiple platforms, or supporting implementing new software systems.
You should be capable of working on your own initiative as well as being an integral part of the IT team. You should also be able to handle pressurised situations calmly and confidently, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Customer service is key, requiring you to communicate effectively at all levels.
Normally based in Grantham, you will be working five days out of seven between Sunday and Saturday, including occasional evenings and weekends on rota.
