Head Office, Boston


Job Title: Head of Visual Merchandising
Closing Date: Sunday 21st September 2014

We have a rare opportunity for an exceptional individual with the creative personality and commercial expertise to head the creation and implementation of our visual proposition.

As line manager to the Visual Merchandising Managers based in our six Lincolnshire stores, the successful candidate will be a pro-active, hands-on leader with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. You will be responsible for all aspects of Visual Merchandising across the business, including ticketing, windows, internal displays and department layouts. This is a field-based role requiring you to work across all stores.

The successful candidate will need to be an accomplished Head of Visual Merchandising or demonstrate a proven track record as a Visual Merchandising Manager with experience of leading a large team. You will have the imagination and creative flair to generate ideas, and the procurement and project management skills to see concepts through to completion.

Reporting immediately to the Company Directors, you will be a strong negotiator with the ability to influence at all levels.

Finally, your IT skills must be excellent. A good working knowledge of Mac Illustrator and Indesign would be advantageous.

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic weekend assistant to join the Restaurant team at our Oldrids Boston store.

You should be well presented and possess excellent customer service skills. Duties will include clearing tables, customer service, and basic food preparation, till work, stock replenishment and general housekeeping duties.

You will be working 4 hours per week on varying shifts, normally every Saturday or Sunday.

Job Title Part-Time Cook / Restaurant Assistant Oldrids Boston

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join the Restaurant team at our Oldrids, Boston store.

Your duties will be cooking home made meals, baking in our in-house Bakery
Departments and the production of staff meals. You will also be required to assist in other areas of the kitchen and restaurant.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in food preparation (vegetable and meat products) and/or relevant catering qualifications (City and Guilds/NVQ).

Job Title: Fixed-Term Restaurant Assistants Oldrids Boston

We have two vacancies for enthusiastic part-time assistants to join the Restaurant team at our Oldrids Boston store on a fixed term basis for up to 1 year.

You should be well presented, literate, numerate and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, selling and communication skills.

Duties will primarily be customer service but will also include basic food preparation, till work, stock replenishment and general housekeeping duties.

We are now looking for a number of enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible individuals to join our team to deliver a fantastic shopping experience for our customers over the Christmas period.
We have 2 vacancies covering our Home Decorations department. These roles focus on sales and exceeding customer expectations, requiring you to demonstrate a keen interest in the enticing products on offer as well as excellent customer service and selling skills. There’s a real seasonal buzz at Christmas, so come join the excitement.

Job Title: Fixed-Term Warehouse Assistant (Christmas Cover)
Downtown Boston
Closing Date: Friday 3rd October 2014

We are looking to recruit a part-time Warehouse Assistant to join the Distribution team at Downtown Boston.

Stock movement - some of which may be very bulky - will be a main requirement of the role. Other duties will include accepting deliveries and ensuring that all relevant paperwork is completed according to Company policy. You may be required to work as part of the delivery team working as an assistant to the delivery drivers.

Experience gained working in a similar environment would be an advantage, including an up to date awareness of health and safety regulations relating to manual handling.

You should be well presented, PC literate, numerate and possess excellent customer service skills.

Hours are 20 per week worked on varying shifts over five days between Sunday and Saturday, including evenings and weekends. Job Title: Self-Employed Carpet Fitters Required Downtown Grantham

We are currently looking to expand our supply base of self-employed carpet fitters to complete jobs on behalf of Oldrids & Downtown on a flexible basis. The work will entail fitting a wide range of floor coverings from carpet and vinyl to Karndean and Ted Todd wooden floors.

As a Downtown sub-contractor you would be expected to provide excellent customer service, have an outstanding knowledge of fitting and take great pride in your work. You will need to liaise closely with the Estimators and the Sales team in the allocation and completion of jobs. We would expect you to have your own vehicle and fitters insurance and be flexible in your approach to work (completing customer’s fittings on weekdays and weekends).
