Spreading the Christmas Cheer with The Boston Stump!

Spreading the Christmas Cheer with The Boston Stump!

For the third year running, we are delighted to present you with our Christmas trees at St Botolph's - Parish of Boston.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire and their listeners have spent two years in creating handmade Christmas decorations that hold sentimental value. These knitted decorations are now displayed on the Christmas trees kindly donated by Oldrids & Downtown.

In 2015, the public hand knitted decorations in memory of those who they were thinking of during the Christmas period. And in 2016, baubles were created as a symbol of thanking a loved one. The festive feelings now begin as we showcase BBC Radio Lincolnshire's viewers' two years of knitted creativeness on our donated Christmas trees!

The spectacular exhibition was completed with Christmas cheer by the Visual Merchandising team at Oldrids & Downtown. A huge well done to Emily, Abie and Zoe for their hard work and efforts – we think they’ve done a great job!

The trees were thoroughly enjoyed during Boston’s Christmas Lights Switch On event and generated many “wow”s  and “ooo”s  during the evening’s Christmas Carol performance.
